Anxiety

Anxiety and panic attacks are something everyone experiences at times, and feeling anxious is a perfectly natural reaction to some situations.

We all need some anxiety and stress in our every day lives to exist as human beings, however when anxiety becomes overwhelming, when the “fight or flight” response kicks in when there is no real danger, the hormones are still released and we want to run away, fight or freeze.

These hormones cause symptoms you are probably aware of, a fast heart rate, sweaty hands, tummy churning and a sense of panic sets in.

The good news is there are plenty of things you can try to help cope with anxiety.  The stresses we experience as constant worrying, of fearing we will make idiots of ourselves, that we will lose control and we will never get out of this are so draining and it leaves us feeling exhausted.

Call me so we can unpick all of this, teach you some techniques to follow and get your back on track to seeing a brighter future and a better way of managing the stresses we encounter daily, and those that are bigger that throw us off course.

Bereavement

Bereavement, grief and loss can cause many different symptoms and they affect people in different ways. There’s no right or wrong way to feel. Losing a pet can be just as difficult as losing someone we love or care for.

As well as bereavement, there are other types of loss such as the end of a relationship or losing a job or home.

Some of the most common symptoms include:

  • shock and numbness – this is usually the first reaction to loss, and people often talk about “being in a daze”
  • overwhelming sadness, with lots of crying
  • tiredness or exhaustion
  • anger – towards the person you’ve lost or the reason for your loss
  • guilt – for example, guilt about feeling angry, about something you said or did not say, or not being able to stop your loved one dying

These feelings may not be there all the time and powerful feelings may appear unexpectedly.

It’s not always easy to recognise when bereavement, grief or loss are the reason you’re acting or feeling differently.

Call me so we can unpick all of this, support you through the grief process to a more manageable and brighter future.

Body Image

Body image is how we think and feel about ourselves physically, and how we believe others see us.

When we talk about body image, there are lots of ways we can think about our body and the way we look. You might find that there are times when you like your body, or parts of your body, and times when you struggle with how you look.

Body image is not just about our weight, it can also be things like:

  • comparing how you look with friends or people you follow on social media
  • struggling to love and accept your body
  • feeling as though your body shape is not represented in the media
  • hiding your body because you feel ashamed by it
  • struggling to find clothes for your body, particularly if you have a physical disability
  • feeling misunderstood about your body when people make assumptions about things like why you might need a wheelchair
  • feeling like you are not attractive enough
  • birthmarks, surgery scars or acne affecting how you feel about how you look
  • feeling as though your body does not match your gender.

Call me so we can unpick all of this, teach you some techniques to follow and get your back on track to seeing a brighter future and a better way of managing the stresses we encounter daily, and those that are bigger that throw us off course.

Confidence

We all have times when we lack confidence and do not feel good about ourselves.

When low self-esteem or a lack of confidence becomes a long-term problem, it can have a harmful effect on our mental health and our day-to-day lives.

When we have healthy self-esteem, we tend to feel positive about ourselves and about life in general. It makes us better able to deal with life’s ups and downs.

When our self-esteem and confidence are low, we tend to see ourselves and our life in a more negative and critical light. We also feel less able to take on the challenges that life throws at us.

For some reason, we tell ourselves that we aren’t good enough and that often affects how we cope with any problem that comes our way, no matter how small.

By learning how to explore how your mind works, by teaching you techniques and a different way of thinking it wont be long before your confidence will be soaring, and should it dip you will know how to get yourself back on track.

Call me to discuss this and my other methods for helping with confidence and self esteem issues. I’d love to help you.

Past Life Regression

We all have different views and ideas on life after death and whether there is karma or whether we have lived before or not.

Some of us believe that by regressing to a past life can help cure an issue we have in this life.  Others just want to explore what this is and have an experience.

Whatever your motivation I would love to help you on a past life regression. Its an amazing experience so please call me and lets get this hypnotherapy journey started.

Phobias

  • Do you have a fear of phobia that is controlling your life and holding you back?
  • Do you struggle on a daily basis or when you are planning a holiday?
  • Do you avoid going places, or avoid circumstances that you may have to encounter your fear or phobia in?
  • Is your fear or phobia impacting your relationships and your life in general?

Call me so we can find an effective way for you to take control of your fear or phobia and start living again!

Public Speaking

Public speaking is one of the most daunting thins we have to do in life! We are worried about what others will thinks of us? how they are judging us? if I’ll remember all the words and content? And all this stops us performing to the best of our ability.

What would it be like if ,even if you were slightly nervous, you could deliver that speech or presentation in a professional and stress free way? Thus gaining the respect of yourself and the organisation/company you are presenting for.

I can help you to achieve this and to overcome the barriers that got in the way.

Sleep

Whatever the reason we don’t manage to get enough sleep, each day becomes harder to get through and life appears more difficult to navigate.

A lack of sleep impacts our daily life. Many of us occasionally experience difficulties sleeping. Usually it’s due to stress, illness, school or work and many other temporary interruptions to our normal routine. However, if you regularly have problems getting to sleep at night, wake up feeling exhausted, or feel sleepy during the day then this can take a serious toll on your mental and physical health.

Your mood, energy, and ability to handle stress will be reduced and many side effects including weight gain, low concentration, memory problems, and strained relationships along with low self esteem and lack of confidence to name but a few.

If you want to feel your best, stay healthy, and enjoy your life more then please call me and I can certainly help you back to a normal routine and a better quality of life..

Smoking & Vaping

Nowadays smokers and vapers are the lepers of our society. It’s now not socially acceptable to smoke in pubs, restaurants or public spaces. Yet if you have this habit it is hard to give it up. And of course it is costing you a lot of money.

Money is becoming tighter each day, with the price of food and especially fuel increasing to rates that we cannot cope with. Something has to give. Giving up smoking becomes financial and of course will benefit your health both short term and long term too.

Vaping now has become as addictive as smoking, if not more so. Many start vaping even though they have never smoked. Sometimes it’s just to fit in, others try it to combat smoking. Whatever the reason it is still an overwhelming addiction that many would like to stop.

Call me for a chat so we can rid you of either of these habits and get you back to who you really are. Free to enjoy all live has to offer and not being rejected by your fellow man or impacting your health.

Sports Performance

Are you good at sport? Whether as a hobby or as a professional? yet you struggle to maintain your performance levels, finding yourself making stupid mistakes one week and excelling the next.

What you need is coaching and a strategy to enable you to be the best you can be at all times. With the awareness to know its not your best day and the skills to help you overcome this.

Whether it’s the inability to putt consistently or to kick a ball in a goal, with my support you can achieve what you desire and enjoy the journey rather than hating the sport, and yourself, for always going wrong!

Call me and lets get you to the top of your game once more, and consistent!

Tics and Habits

Tics are fast, repetitive muscle movements that result in sudden and difficult to control body jolts or sounds.

They’re fairly common in childhood and typically first appear at around 5 years of age. Very occasionally they can start in adulthood.

Tics are not usually serious and normally improve over time. But they can be frustrating and interfere with everyday activities.

Types Of Tics

There are many types of tic. Some affect body movement (motor tics) and others result in a sound (vocal or phonic tics).

Examples of tics include:

  • blinking, wrinkling the nose or grimacing
  • jerking or banging the head
  • clicking the fingers
  • touching other people or things
  • coughing, grunting or sniffing
  • repeating a sound or phrase – in a small number of cases, this may be something obscene or offensive

Tics can happen randomly and they may be associated with something such as stress, anxiety, tiredness, excitement or happiness. They tend to get worse if they’re talked about or focused on.

They often start with an unpleasant sensation that builds up in the body until relieved by the tic – known as an urge – although they can sometimes be partly suppressed.

Many of use use tics as a way of showing outwardly our stresses and anxiety. Asking for help is the first step in regaining control of your life, learning how and why you created this tic and also learning constructive and useful ways to overcome it are where I come in.

There is no judgement or criticism, just genuine concern and support to help you regain yours sense of self again.  It may not be easy to take that first step but once you have you will embark on a journey to a better you. And remember, you are not alone, this is just a coping mechanism and it can be resolved.

Call me now so I can help you to overcome this and move on with your life.

Weight Loss

Losing weight is one of the most difficult challenges we all face, regardless of age. Mainly because we have to eat to survive so it is not something we can avoid at all costs!

However when it comes to weight loss, how many of us have been yo-you dieting for years and end up gaining more weight than we’ve lost?

When we work together, I use a lot of techniques to help you to lose weight including hypnotherapy, coaching and many many more. What I have found most important is why? Why do you want to lose weight? If it’s to look good then that’s fine, but many of my clients are fed up with more than how they look, and they want to increase their mobility, improve their overall health, to avoid strokes and other major heath issues including diabetes.

With my support and you following the best healthy weight loss plan for you, weight loss can be achieved and maintained. A new healthy lifestyle will become your norm and you’ll have more energy to enjoy every day tasks.

Call me now so I can support you and help you to get back to a healthier and slimmer you.
